About: The UCCS Economic Forum is the leading source of unbiased and rigorous information for the Pikes Peak region. Data is continuously updated and actively utilized in the community to inform and drive economic development and business decisions. We are seeking volunteers to help with event execution on September 1, 2022.
Volunteer roles include parking way-finders, will-call ticket table support, and other roles that help with participant check-in as needed.
Time Commitment: Volunteers should plan to arrive and meet at the front lobby of the Ent Center for the Arts no later than 12:15 p.m. If you choose not to attend the forum event you are welcome to leave after your volunteer role ends which will be at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Qualifications: Volunteers can be alumni or friends of UCCS. Volunteers should be able to stand for and move about the parking lot/event space for a minimum of one hour. Light lifting of signs or supplies may be requested of some volunteers.
Expectations: Volunteers will be trained and familiarized with their role prior to volunteering. Volunteers should behave in a professional manner when on site at the Ent Center. Volunteers should dress for the weather (if it is warm keep in mind that hats, sunglasses, etc. are encouraged that day if you will be working as a parking helper or way-finder.) If you plan to attend the event after volunteering, business or business casual attire is traditional for this event.
Parking: Volunteers can park for free at LOT 576, directly across from the Ent Center for the Arts. See map below for more information.
Impact: This is the first time since 2019 that the UCCS Economic Forum is being offered in an in-person format. With the help of volunteers we will be able to give all attendees a superior experience from the moment they enter the parking lot until the event concludes.
Perks: As an added bonus to volunteering, all volunteers will be added to the attendee list for this event free of charge. Typical admission for this event is $80.
