About: We are seeking volunteers to help us staff the Finals Survival Coffee event on May 9. Finals Survival Coffee is an event the alumni and friends office hosts every semester for students to fuel them through their finals. Students are invited to stop by the University Center from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. to grab a free hot beverage and mug. We are seeking volunteers to help us distribute mugs to students who then are given the option to fill up on coffee or hot chocolate.
Time Commitment: We ask volunteers to sign up for a two hour volunteer shift for this opportunity. Please indicate the time frame you would like to volunteer between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on May 9th in the "Notes" section when you sign up for this volunteer opportunity.
Qualifications: Volunteers can be alumni or friends of UCCS.
Impact: Our students look forward to a free cup of java each semester as they prepare to wrap up their studies. Volunteering for this opportunity allows us to continue sharing this coffee event with students and allows volunteers to get to meet some UCCS students.
Parking Details: Parking costs will be covered for volunteers for a total of three hours. Volunteers will meet at the University Center on the UCCS Campus (located at: Parking Lot 222 or 224, 1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs, CO 80918).
In order for us to cover your parking costs and to avoid you being cited with a parking ticket we will provide you with a parking tag to hang on your rearview mirror upon arrival at the event. A meet up spot will be established on an individual basis to get you a parking tag on the day of the event. Eligibility for a free parking tag closes on May 2! If you register after that time you will be responsible for your parking costs. Should you forego picking up and hanging a parking tag or arrive after check-in ends you will be responsible for your parking fees or citations you receive.
