About: The Soifer Mathematics Olympiad is a unique event on the UCCS campus.
In the Olympiad participants compete to solve five problems and the chance to win valuable prizes including calculators, software and scholarships.

Time Commitment: Volunteer should plan to arrive promptly at 7:30 a.m. on October 1. There will be a 30-minute training starting at 7:30 that walks volunteers through their duties for the day. Volunteers are expected to stay for the entire event which is set to end at 1:00 p.m, for a total volunteer time of 5.5 hours. Food and beverages will be provided.
Expectations: Volunteers are expected to comply with all campus policies and directions of campus volunteer program manager. At this time UCCS is under a mask mandate to ensure safety for all working and leaning on campus, with that in mind, you will be required to wear a mask while you volunteer. Additionally on the day of your volunteer event you will need to complete a wellness check before arriving on campus. Link to wellness check: Wellness Check Link (select the "visitors" option)
Qualifications: Basic computer skills are helpful for managing the check-in desk.
Impact: Volunteers make an impact by helping make this event a success and ensure students are engaging in a fair competition.
