We are seeking UCCS alumni to help us write welcome notes to the newest additions to the Mountain Lion family. Our goal is to write a congratulatory note to all 3000 incoming students, but we need you. Help UCCS welcome the newest Mountain Lions by pledging to “Write-A-Mountain Lion” today!
We are asking that each volunteer write at least 20 notes to students. You will receive your packet of materials by the end of June and have most of July to write the notes. Our target mail date is July 24, 2021.
After confirming your registration, you will receive instructions, pre-addressed and stamped envelopes, notecards, and some suggested messaging at the end of June We ask that you write the notes focusing on your student / alumni experience, your excitement when you were about to start college, and welcoming them to the Mountain Lion family. Upon receiving your letter writing packet you will have approximately three weeks to write your letters and mail them between July 21-24, 2021.
Time Commitment: Plan for two to three hours to write 20 notes.
