About: We are seeking volunteers to help support UCCS RecFest. RecFest is a student facing event to help students connect with the UCCS Recreation and Wellness! The event features a variety of programs, classes, and activities to attendees in an effort to promote and advertise everything Campus Recreation and Wellness has to offer. This event will include inflatables, games and more for students. We are looking for alumni and friend volunteers to help with the set-up and execution of this event. Volunteer activities might include setting up t-shirts, setting up games, serving pizza, staffing information tables, helping with games, and more.
Note: A pre-event volunteer Zoom call will be planned to prep you on your volunteer tasks. More information will be sent out about that in early August.
Time Commitment: Join us for one or both of our volunteer shifts. Details about the shifts is noted below.
Set-Up Shift Happens August 17 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Event Support Shift Happens August 17 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Volunteer Expectations: Volunteers are expected to arrive on time for their volunteer shift. Volunteers must agree to the volunteer agreement, to view the agreement, click here, scroll to page 4. To agree to the waiver, simply check the box when it pops up on the final stage of the registration page.
Qualifications: No minimum qualifications, but volunteers should be willing and able to help with moving of supplies and stand on their feet for several hours at a time.
Impact: RecFest is a signature event for the UCCS Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Supporting this event can help the professional staff deliver information about services to students and help make the event successful.
Parking Details: Volunteers can park in the Alpine Garage located near the Recreation and Wellness Center. Please see the map below to identify your parking options. The garage is multiple levels if you drive down the ramp there will be spots towards the lower levels if you cannot find ones on the first floor.
