About: Join us as we welcome incoming UCCS students as they move into the resident hall. Volunteers are needed on Monday August 18th, 2025 and Tuesday August 19th, 2025. Shifts for both days are 8:30am-11:30am, 11am-2pm, and 1:30pm-4:30pm. Volunteers are needed to provide a warm welcome for first-year students and assist in the move-in process in a wide variety of ways that is not limited to the physical task of carrying items.
Volunteers will get the chance to work alongside UCCS staff, faculty and students. It is a great way to see the UCCS student experience from a different view.
Note! Alumni of the University will receive a free UCCS Alumni T-shirt. Please email alumni@uccs.edu with your t-shirt size.
Time Commitment: August 18th and August 19th. Shifts for both days are 8:30am-11:30am, 11am-2pm, and 1:30pm-4:30pm.
Qualifications: Volunteers will be required to sign a waiver in order to volunteer.
Impact: Moving to campus is one of the first experiences a new student has with UCCS, and we want to give them a warm welcome to the Mountain Lion family. To do this, we need approximately 40-50 volunteers a day.
Parking: We suggest parking in the Gateway Garage.
