Who We Are

The College of Letters, Arts & Sciences is home to studies in the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.

Our faculty teach you to think, to create and to communicate – skills vital to today’s employers, graduate, and professional schools. Outside the classroom, opportunities abound for internships and one-on-one research with faculty.

More than half of the students at UCCS are enrolled in LAS. Students in LAS can choose from 19 majors and 53 minors in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. This specialization is important not only for the skills, perspectives, and knowledge gained, but is also the key to success in subsequent education and careers. We offer five accelerated bachelor/master degrees, nine master’s degrees, and three Ph.D. degrees, as well as pre-medical and pre-law programs.

What We Do

The College of Letters, Arts & Sciences at UCCS provides breadth of instruction for all students of the UCCS campus, including those in professional schools and colleges. This breadth exposes all students to the challenge, excitement and demands of clear self-expression, analysis, reasoning, comparison, experimentation, and awareness of alternative perspectives. Students within the College gain skills, perspectives, knowledge, and the keys to success in subsequent education and careers.
